For some of you who haven't heard of this game, here it goes... eRepublik is a multiplayer online game, which presents a simulation of real world. Officially, there are 300.000 players, though I have to be honest and say that there are about 100.000 real players (others are multi's).
Still, there is quite a small number of eMalaysia citizens (500), so there's your chance to progress quickly and to play a patriot or simply have fun. There are a lot of options for you in eRepublik. Of course, war is the main thing here. You train, fight, you can join a military unit or even create one and lead other fighters. You can fight for your country or decide to roam around the world as a mercenary, fighting for gold. There is also the economy. You can work or build your own industry. You can also trade and make some financial speculations. You can create your own newspaper and then write articles and get people to subscribe to your newspaper. You can join or create a political parties, candidates for the party presidency, congress, or even become a country president. You can also earn a position in government and become for example Minister of Defence, or Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The elections are held every month - the 5th of the month is country president elections, the 15th is party president elections, and the 25th is the congress elections. And the war is non-stop! The very interesting thing is the IRC. There are hundreds of chat channels and that is where the real things happen. There you can organize the army, make political deals, or just chat with someone. If you are really lucky you can even meet some girls or boys.
