Rappelz Online

It has been a few years now since Rappelz launched its service in North America. This game was a blast, one which could get me hooked for 15+ hrs a day playing. It has good graphic, characters look good and many are adorable with high level armors. Character animations also are smooth and appealing to the eyes.

This game is called Rappelz [means Summon in French] because players can obtain pets and summon them to help in combat. I love Rappelz's pet system and consider it to be the best I have ever seen in MMORPGs. First, any player can obtain pets. Though most Classes can only use 1 pet, Summoner Classes can have up to 5 pets, and they can bring the most out of their pets too. Pets also are very useful and not just for decoration or proof of players' wealthy, though some pets do look very cool. Many pets are capable of dealing damages, tanking, healing, buffing, debuffing and crowd-controlling. It's safe to say that a good pet is necessary to advance in this game. Pets also could become very strong, up to the point of much stronger than their owners, depending on how you equip them with weapons and armors and how you set their skills.

As pets gain level, they advance further, and could evolve into their higher form, we call this Evo1, Evo2, and Evo3 with Evo1 the youngest and Evo3 the strongest. They also become bigger (an Evo3 Yeti is about 4-5 times taller than a player) and better looking too. Players have control over their pets, and can command them when to attack which target with what skills or even having them running around in circles. If you would like to be the owner of cool-looking, strong and so helpful and useful pets such as White Dragons, Salamanders, Sirens, Pixies, Yetis, Orcs, Skeletons, Hawkmen, Harpies and more, then you have to try this game.

There are 3 races in this game; the human Gaia, the pure-looking Deva, and the dark Asura. The three races are not at war with each other, so it's not about Faction Wars. Instead, the race determines what your character will look like, and the Classes available. Whatever the race, however, a player will start as a starting Basic class; Basic Rogue for a Gaia, Basic Guide for a Deva, and Basic Stepper for an Asura; that can become a Fighter class, a Spellcaster class, or a pets-user Summoner class at level 10. Then, at level 50, each class can advance further into Advanced class, with further defined role. Fighter and Spellcaster gets 2 branches, while Summoner only become a better pets-user.
Example would be; a Deva Fighter is the Holy Warrior, whose Advanced classes are Soldier (more defensive capabilities) and Knight (more offensive capabilities). a Gaia Fighter can advance into a Champion or an Archer. While an Asura Dark Magician can become a Chaos Magician (more offensive spells) or a Warlock (more debuffs and more curses).

Be warned, however, this is a Korean made game with point and click movement system. It does get grindy at high level, and you would need to play it like a hardcore, or buy items from Cashshop to gain double experience points for some periods of times to advance further. It also isn't easy to obtain pets. To obtain one by yourself, you need to be high level enough to mass-kill lots and lots of monsters (same kind as the pet you want), hoping to get a Pet Card, which will be used to tame the monster into a pet. But the success rate of taming is considered low, and if it fails, you lose the Pet Card, and thus you will have to restart the process again and go back to mass killing.

• Characters look good, so do the armors and the environments
• Lack of customization, both characters and armors
• Many nice BGMs, even though sometimes they're not played at the right moment
• Pet System is the best
• Leveling is a pain at high level. It takes a long time, and the best way to gain experience is to stay all day in Dungeons, camping a room with fast re-spawn rate monsters with your party.

Crysis 3 DX10 Hack

As you already know, one will need a DX11 capable graphics card in addition to the insane  system requirements  to be able to run Crysis 3. Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli said that the Crysis 3 is planned to be DX11 only, destroying the hopes of people running DX10 video cards who had previously expected Crysis 3 to run on a DX11 renderer but still support DX10 just like Crysis 2. However, do you remember Crysis: Warhead? Back then, Crytek decided that the gamers will need to upgrade their DX9 systems in order to play on enthusiast video setting. It was only a matter of time before someone discovered a way to bypass Crytek`s marketing nonsense that supported Vista and new $$$ graphics cards. The same thing is happening now, although some things are different in Crysis 3. Crysis 3 brings us fancy video rendering features like Tessellation and Ambient Occlusion that are DX11 exclusive. But what if you have an older GPU setup like GTX 295 which is a dual GPU card and you really...
